Emergin partners Ekahau to provide context-aware alerts
Emergin in partnership with Ekahau, a provider of Wi-Fi based Real-Time Location System (RTLS) solutions, UK, allows medical staff to receive context-aware alerts via their mobile phone, VoIP phone, pager or PDA when they enter specific geographic areas. In hospital setting, a surgeon can be notified when other team members enter the operating room for surgery. Thus this proactive notification saves valuable time in tracking of the target people or equipment, ultimately, which improves the quality of patient care by providing information to the hospital staff, regardless of their location.
