NASCIO releases State Health IT Initiatives
NASCIO announced about the release of the compendium, Profiles of Progress: State Health IT Initiatives. It is a product of NASCIO Health IT Committee; this compendium will provide a state by state “snapshot” of progress in which each state has made the implementation process of health information technology (HIT). According to Wyoming CIO Larry Biggio, co-chair of NASCIO’s Health IT Committee, the compendium reflects the growing interest of states in the use of information technology to improve patient care. The Health information technology is a rapidly growing faction of health care reform.
