TIMA launches TIMA mobile platform for telemedicine services
DP Solutions and Technology Integrations for Medical Applications, Inc. (TIMA) have joined together to launch the TIMA Mobile platform, which will allow doctors to provide telemedicine service to patients. Both companies are providing TIMA mobile platform, which will allow doctors to make house calls to patients and monitor their vital signs including heart rates, blood oxygen levels etc. Doctor can either store the information or send it through Internet connection to a hospital, where specialist can view patient’s medical record. Both doctor and specialist can view the patient’s medical record simultaneously. The solution calls needs few standard technical requirements including PC or laptop, Internet connectivity (dial-up, broadband or wireless), telephone, digital voice recorder and a security device, such as a firewall or VPN. Doctors would also be able to connect digital camera or video capture device like Camcorder.
