Now US doctors get free e-Prescribing software
Soon US doctors would be able to access free and web based electronic medicine prescribing software. The main goal of the National e-Prescribing Patient Safety Initiative (NEPSI) is to provide every doctor of US and pharmacy to use e-Prescribing software and reduce death rates in US. The e-Prescribing initiative will eliminate common errors associated with handwritten prescriptions. Allscripts and other technology partners will sell e-Health record software and putting e-Prescribing system in place. Dell Inc., Microsoft Corp. and Sprint Nextel Corp are trying to provide e-Prescribing-enabled mobile phones to doctors without Internet access.
