Antiretroviral drugs to fight HIV/ AIDS
The antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) are designed to do interrupt the HIV/ AIDS virus at various points. Pfizer’s maraviroc blocks the HIV/ AIDS virus from entering the human cell. Pfizer is thus going to apply for approval to the Food and Drug Administration, in the coming month. Another drug (called isentress), an integrase inhibitor from Merck, aims to tackle HIV where it hurts the most
