Media Lab Asia maps the needs of health care in Kerala (India) district
A non–profit R&D organization, the Media Lab Asia, which is functioning under the Department of Information Technology (DIT) of government of India (GoI) has taken a project to map the needs of health care in Malappuram district of Kerala, India. The company is collaborated with the state government’s e-literacy program named, Akshaya. The project is expected to utilise ICT for collecting information on diseases prent in the region. The Medialab would be collaborating with the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) and a host of non-governmental organization for the purpose. According to Principal Research Director, Media lab Asia states, G V Ramaraju, these inputs would be recorded by field agents on their Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and sent to central database.
