US NSW Health develops e-Health record system

US, NSW Health has developed an online medical records system called Healthelink, which is integrated with online services. More than 9000 people are now using the NSW e-Health system. The project aims to provide a central point of reference for the state’s health professionals to access patient information and eliminate fragmented records  borne out of disparate paper and computer methods. Two of the three GP systems involved in the pilot project are now connected. NSW is planning to integrate its e-Health with the national electronic health network.
