Seven companies vie for Kolhapur’s health city project
Seven companies have evinced interest in the INR 600 crore Medical Health City project proposed by the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC). Among these the Reliance group, IVRCL, Delhi’s Value group, Hinduja National Hospital of Mumbai, and Apollo Hospitals have already submitted tenders, which will be opened after April 16. Though Kolhapur has a number of private hospitals and one government hospital, it lacks a full-fledged hospital that could offer emergency care. The KMC has earmarked 19 acres for the proposed project, which would be given on a lease basis.
