HealthPort signs RAC software deal with RHC
It was announced by HealthPort, a top-25 company in the healthcare information technology industry, on Friday that Resurrection Health Care of Chicago has inked an agreement to implement HealthPort’s RACPro Basic software. Hospitals are enabled to store and view records, as well as to view the status of RAC requests and confirm which records were sent and when, through an innovative solution for the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) initiative, RACPro Basic. The benefits of HealthPort’s RACPro Basic include automation, organization and proven efficiencies which allow hospitals to have optimal access to records and activity reports during the RAC process. HealthPort’s Release of Information (ROI) service at a few of its facilities has been used by Resurrection Health Care. In pursuing its goal to be RAC-ready, the organization sought a consistent process and solution for RAC tracking that could be seamlessly integrated with a few of the organization’s existing systems
