Omnicare partners with eHealthBusiness
It was told by Omnicare Inc. that it has entered into a distribution and marketing relationship with software company eHealth Solutions Inc. The financial terms inked were not disclosed. Under the deal, Omnicare will be the exclusive institutional pharmacy marketer and distributor of ehealth’s SigmaCare suite of software.
New York-based eHealth provides physician order entry systems, electronic medical records software and related systems to skilled nursing facilities. Joel Gemunder, Omnicare’s president and CEO, mentioned that the alliance with is in accordance of their aim to support the needs of our client long-term care facilities and improve clinical outcomes for the residents whom we both serve in a cost-efficient manner. Omnicare Inc. headquartered in Covington, serves long-term care patients in 47 states, the District of Columbia and Canada.
