Wipro launches Next-Generation Remote Monitoring System
Wipro Technologies has launched a next-generation medical gateway solution that aims to improve coordination between patients and their healthcare providers. The technology, powered by an Intel Atom processor, allows users such as patients, doctors and other healthcare professionals to monitor, track and manage healthcare information from a remote location. The solution captures vital data from multiple medical devices such as blood pressure monitors, glucometers and weighing scales to provide real-time clinical review. It supports various medical devices through different interfaces such as Bluetooth and USB to provide medical data, video and image transfer from a patient to a doctor and vice-versa, while also enabling video-conferencing.The solution will be particularly useful for primary healthcare in remote villages.
