eHEALTH Bureau
Asian Institute of Public Health (AIPH) has entered into a partnership with Ravenshaw, the premier University of Orissa, to offer the Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree course starting from July 19, 2010.

The MPH curriculum will have much unique strength than many available MPH programs in India. Apart from offering comprehensive courses in public health, this two year program will provide skill sets in public health informatics and other key areas such as occupational and environmental health and chronic disease surveillance and management. With an extensive hands-on experience, the graduates from this program will be ready to shoulder the challenges and address the unmet public health needs of the region and the country.

The programme is conceptualised to address the current need for filling up of an acute shortage of skilled human resources to support and improve the public health of India. There is also a need for trained manpower to help accomplish the mandates under the new programmes such as the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and to provide sustained expertise for strengthening the health systems, improve various health indices, and be prepared to address the challenges brought about by rapid industrialisation and natural disasters.
