Genetic health risks may arise due to assisted reproductive technology
Millions of children have been born as a result of assisted reproductive technologies since the birth of the first test tube baby in 1978. While the majority of these children are healthy and normal but there is a great risk of certain kinds of birth defects and low birth weight associated with obesity, hypertension and diabetes.
