GE Healthcare makes EMR on iPads

GE Healthcare has made Centricity Advance and other EMR solutions accessible via iPad devices. The technology allows providers to use iPads to access “patient information and enter clinical notes from the patient appointment room, from home, on the road — wherever makes the most sense and is most convenient,” GE Healthcare utive Chittaranjan Mallepeddi said. Experts believe that iPads have the potential to revolutionize medicine practice by giving doctors point-of-care access to health data and allowing them to better connect with patients.
