First RENEW Spine Implant Conducted in USA
Interventional Spine has announced the first commercial US implant of RENEW Interspinous Allograft Technology in the USA to treat lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). The RENEW implant is an interspinous process device made from allograft for the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis, which is designed for ease of implant and to provide a more natural interference within the spinous process. The RENEW implant is an innovative device that will improve outcomes and provide cost efficiencies to hospitals and surgeons. The implant is available in six different sizes to accommodate the patient’s anatomy, and will be launched across the USA by the end of 2010. The first implant was performed at the Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia, USA.
