Eli Lilly India has a change of guard at its helm
Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly) announced a change in guard at its Indian operations with current incumbent Sandeep Gupta announcing his move to pursue another career opportunity after spending over 5 years in the role.
Melt van der Spuy, a citizen of South Africa with varied experience in multiple geographies was named to succeed as the new Chairman and Managing Director, effective November 01. Melt joined Lilly 18 years ago as a sales representative in South Africa. He then held various marketing positions in South Africa and Indianapolis. Melt has also worked in the Lilly UK, Puerto Rico and West Indies affiliates before assuming his last Lilly assignment as the General Manager, Lilly Taiwan.
