Rashtriya Aarogya Nidhi Scheme launched in Arunachal Pradesh

The State Health Ministry of Arunachal Pradesh launched Rashtriya Aarogya Nidhi scheme in Itanagar on 14 September 2012.

The scheme which is under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, provides financial assistance upto 1.5 lakh rupees to BPL

 patients suffering from life threatening diseases in the form of a one time grant. In the event of the treatment cost exceeding 1.5 lakh rupees, the patients can avail the assistance from the Central Rashtriya Aarogya Nidhi scheme.

The Central governments contribution to the scheme for Arunachal Pradesh, will be two crore rupees.
