Sun Pharma unit Caraco recalls antibiotic drug from US
Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories, part of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, has initiated a recall of capsules of antibiotic drug Cephalexin from the US market.
Cephalexin is used in treating certain types of bacterial infections.

The recalled drug, while manufactured in India by Sun Pharma, was distributed by Caraco Phramaceutical in the US.

The USFDA, in its latest notification, said the products were being recalled because they were manufactured with active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) that were not manufactured with good manufacturing practices.
