Medtronic Completes Acquisition of Sophono
Medtronic has completed the acquisition of Sophono – a US based magnetic hearing implants developer. However, the terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
According to Medtronic Senior vice-president and Restorative Therapies surgical technologies business president Mark Fletcher, Medtronic is proud to add Sophono’s minimally invasive, low profile hearing implants to our extensive otologic portfolio. The aquisition will enable them to partner with more suggestions worldwide to help more patients experience better hearing.
Sophono’s magnetic bone conduction hearing implants are presently marketed in 42 countries.
