PeopleHealth Acquired by US Based Telemedicine Startup
The Bangalore based digital health provider PeopleHealth has been acquired by US-based Pluto System Inc for about US$ 5 million (Rs 62 crore). Pluto System is a year old telemedicine startup founded by four medical practitioners of Indian origin.
The company operates a video-powered medical consultation services TalkToDoctorNow (TTDNOW) in the US, will issue share US$ 4 million to PeopleHealth founders and investers besides paying some cash to takeout smaller investors.
Founded by G Krishnamurthy PeopleHealth operates healthcare marketplace linking doctors, hospitals and insurance companies providing a platform to the consumers to make a comparative choice.
