Siemens Healthineers to strengthen its presence in China
Reinforcing expansion plans, Siemens Healthineers has announced to expand and build its existing Diagnostics Manufacturing Facility in Shanghai, China. The China manufacturing facility will include a new in vitro diagnostics facility.
Also, it will enable in-country manufacturing capability for clinical chemistry and immunoassay reagents. Further to this, Siemens Healthineers expects to employ hundreds of additional employees once the project gets complete.
This investment demonstrates the companys continued commitment to address the evolving needs in the Chinese market and in healthcare markets across the globe, said Franz Walt, President, Laboratory Diagnostics, Siemens Healthineers.

Siemens Healthineers continuously develop its portfolio further, from medical imaging and laboratory diagnostics, to adding managed services, consulting, and healthcare IT services “ as well as further technologies for therapeutic and molecular diagnostics. Interestingly, China is the second largest market for Siemens Healthineers.
