When experts dwelled upon finest innovative practices in Bengaluru
“We need innovative practices to fill the existing gaps in healthcare delivery system,” said Shalini Rajneesh, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Department, Government of Karnataka, on Thursday while delivering a speech at 3rd Healthcare Innovation Summit in Bengaluru.
Organised by Elets Technomedia, the Summit witnessed a galaxy of healthcare experts including top policymakers, industry players, and hospital decision-makers, who deliberated on different facets of healthcare delivery system. They brainstormed about various issues engulfing the healthcare sector and how innovative practices could be leveraged to do away with the same.

The policymakers and healthcare luminaries who graced the occasion included Prof (Dr) Sarman Singh, Director & CEO, AIIMS Bhopal; Sunil Kumar Bhushan, DDG & Head Health Sector, National Informatics Centre; Dr S B Sinha, Advisor- Healthcare Technology, National Health Systems Resource Centre; Col Hemraj Parmar, Group CEO, B R Life; and Neeraj Lal, Vice President & Cluster Head, Rainbow Children’s Hospital.

Terming the innovative practices are needed to boost healthcare delivery, enabling people of last mile to avail better patient care in terms of accessibility and affordability, Rajneesh said, “All countries need to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. But India is lagging behind on front of maternal mortality rate, neonatal mortality rates and other healthcare infrastructural issue. In this light we need innovative solutions.” A special issue of eHealth magazine was also released on this occasion.
Healthcare experts deliberated upon various contour of healthcare delivery system i.e how different deliverables of healthcare system could be leveraged to enhance patient care at the summit. They also shed light on best practices in healthcare domain and how modern-technologies can further facilitate patient care. The theme of the summit was ‘Taking healthcare delivery to next level–best practices, innovation & excellence’.

A series of panel discussion, touching all aspects of healthcare delivery system, were held on the occasion. Industry experts and decision makers shed light on how to leverage latest innovative practices to augment healthcare delivery process, enabling people of all strata of the society to avail quality, accessible and affordable healthcare. They also discussed at length role of PPP model to improve healthcare infrastructure in rural areas.
