Rajasthan: Virendra Singh appointed Commissioner & Special Secy Medical Education and Ayurved
Virendra Singh, a Maharashtra cadre IAS officer, has been appointed Special Secretary and Commissioner, Medical Education and Special Secretary, Ayurved in Government of Rajasthan.
He has also been assigned an additional charge as Director of Rajasthan Medical Education Society.
Earlier in March this year, he was given inter cadre deputation from Maharashtra to Rajasthan for three years.
Singh held various key posts in Maharashtra including Commissioner, Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship; Municipal Commissioner of Nagpur; and Director of Information Technology in Government of Maharashtra.
A 2006-batch officer, Virendra Singh was working with Air India before taking plunge for UPSC exam.
