IAS Md Ghulam Ali Ansari appointed MD-NHM, West Bengal
Md Ghulam Ali Ansari has been appointed as the Mission Director, National Health Mission with additional charge of secretary in Health & Family Welfare Department, West Bengal.
The 2000-batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre, Md Ansari was serving as MD, National Health Mission with additional charge of Secretary in Health and Family Department and Commissioner of the Burdwan district in West Bengal.
Prior to this, IAS Ansari was holding the posts of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Government of India.
Launched in 2013, National Health Mission encompasses the National Rural Health Mission and National Urban Health Mission. It was further extended till March 2020.
