Occasional naping during day-time ensures healthy heart
There is good news for a category of people who believe in taking occasional naps during day-time. A study has found that such naps could help you to keep your heart healthy.
The study conducted at the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland revealed that those people taking occasional nap had nearly 50 percent lesser chance of heart attacks and strokes than those who don’t.

As part of the study which was published in the Heart, a British Cardiovascular Society journal, scientists monitored 3,400 people for an average of five years to find out the relationship between napping frequency and the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular disease complications.

Researchers drew the conclusion that those who indulged in occasional napping, around once or twice a week, for between five minutes to an hour, were 48 percent less likely to suffer a heart attack, stroke or heart failure than those who did not nap at all.
It was found that frequent nappers tended to be older, male, smokers, weigh more and slept longer than those who said that they did not nap during the day.
