Covid-19: NTA plans to review NEET 2021, JEE Main January cycle
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is planning to review the January cycle of JEE Main and the NEET 2021 once schools and colleges reopen.
Daily spike in covid-19 cases forced the government to close schools, colleges and other education institutes till end of the month. Many of the competitive exams have also been postponed as congregation may violate social distancing norm leading to more infection.

In this wake, the agency which is entitled to conduct NEET and JEE exam is little apprehensive about conducting the next session exam as per the schedule. The NTA is planning to take stock of the situation after schools and colleges open, a TOI report said.

While JEE Main was converted to twice a year practice by NTA in 2019, the exam for 2020 April is yet to be conducted. After being postponed twice the exam would now be conducted in September 2020. Since the exam cycle has been disrupted NTA is considering to review the January 2021 cycle.

HRD official has informed them that NTA would be taking a call depending on the situation prevailing after the schools reopen. The agency would be taking into consideration the Board exams, results and 2021 exam calendar too, quoting a leading daily the report said

Any further postponement would be leading to a further delay in the NEET 2021 Exams along with JEE Main January Exam 2021.
Students also face tremendous amount of pressure as they get little time exam preparation.
