Participating during a panel discussion on ‘Healthcare Beyond 2020 – The decade of data’ at Elets Healthcare Transformation Summit, Kishor Gojiya said: “Healthcare is very unique in terms of capturing data. Different patients have different treatment and different providers have different protocols. Definition of data is different for each and every area. Healthcare service providers are using multiple tools. Radiologists store data in PACS, while OPD data is stored in HER or any other digital format. Some data is also available on paper mode.”
“So, data is stored on different platforms. Data is very unique and very critical to compile on a single stage. It is difficult to set the data and create single data policy which is applicable across healthcare. Both private and public have different practices on data.”
