Appointment: Dr Shakti Kumar Gupta Takes Charge as the First AIIMS-Jammu Director
Dr Shakti Kumar Gupta has been appointed as the first Director of AIIMS-Jammu. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) at the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has approved his appointment.
Dr Gupta is presently the Medical Superintendent of Dr RP Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences at AIIMS-New Delhi.

The Minister of State for PMO Jitendra Singh has congratulated Dr Gupta on his appointment to AIIMS-Jammu. In a tweet, the Minister said: “Congratulations Dr Shakti Gupta for being appointed as the first Director of AIIMs, #Jammu. I am sure, you have the capacity to live up to this prestigious responsibility assigned to you.”
