Covid-19 Updates: 70,421 Fresh Cases in 24 Hours, Lowest after 74 Days
India reported 70,421 new cases in the last 24 hours; lowest after 74 days. It also recorded 2,81,62,947 total recoveries across the country until now as 1,19,501 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. The recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 32nd consecutive day, with recovery rate increases to 95.43%
Also, India’s active caseload declined to 9,73,158. Its active caseload is below 10 lakhs after 66 days. The weekly positivity rate dropped to less than 5% and is currently at 4.54%. The daily positivity rate is at 4.72%, less than 10% for 21 consecutive days.

The testing capacity ramped up as 37.96 crore total tests conducted and 25.48 crore vaccine doses administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
