Covid-19 Updates: India Logs 53,256 New Cases, its Lowest in 88 days
India reported 53,256 new cases in the last 24 hours; lowest in 88 days. Its active caseload declined to 7,02,887.
The country’s total recoveries stands at 2,88,44,199 until now as 78,190 patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 39th consecutive day. The recovery rate increased to 96.36%, the weekly positivity rate remained below 5% and currently stands at 3.32%, and the daily positivity rate is at 3.83%, less than 5% for 14 consecutive days.

The testing capacity substantially ramped up as 39.24 crores tests conducted and 28 crores vaccine doses administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive
