Covid-19 Updates: India Reports Over 45K New Cases; Daily Positivity Rate at 2.34% for 23 Straight Days
India reported 45,951 new cases in the last 24 hours. The country’s active caseload declined to 5,37,064 and its active cases constituted 1.77% of total cases.
The country’s total recoveries is 2,94,27,330 until now as 60,729 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. Its daily recoveries continued to outnumber the daily new cases for the 48th consecutive day as the recovery rate increased to 96.92%.

Its weekly positivity rate remained below 5% as it currently stood at 2.69%, and the daily positivity rate at 2.34%, less than 5% for 23 consecutive days. The testing capacity has been ramped up as 41.01 crore tests total conducted. Also, India administered 33.28 crores vaccine doses so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
