MyLab Launches Covid-19 Self-test Kit CoviSelf
Indian molecular biology company MyLab Discovery Solutions Pvt Ltd has commercially launched ICMR-approved the Covid-19 self-test kit CoviSelf.
The company’s kit can detect positive results in just 15 mins. The price of the new product is listed at Rs 250.
The Pune-based company has said that it will roll out 1 million CoviSelf kits to retail within 2-3 days. It is aiming to manufacture 7 million units a week based on market demand.
It also informed that the CoviSelf kit will be distributed to 95% of the country’s PIN codes. People can buy the company’s novel kit from the over-the-counter at drug stores, pharmacies, and E-commerce platform, Flipkart. Also, it plans to make the new product available on the Government e-marketplace (GEM).

“Self-testing should slow down the spread of the Covid-19 significantly. We aim to make CoviSelf available across the length and breadth of the country, especially for the people residing in rural areas who have limited options for testing,” the company’s MD Hasmukh Rawal has said.
