Covid-19 Updates: India’s New Cases Fall to 39,796
India reported 39,796 new cases in the last 24 hours. Its active caseload declined to 4,82,071, and active cases constituted 1.58% of total cases.
The country also reported 2,97,00,430 recoveries across the country until now as 42,352 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. The daily recoveries continued to outnumber the daily new cases for the 53rd consecutive day. The recovery rate increased to 97.11%, with the weekly positivity rate remained below 5% as it stood at 2.40%, and the daily positivity rate at 2.61%, less than 5% for 28 consecutive days.

Also, India administered 35.28 crore vaccine doses so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. Its testing capacity ramped up as 41.97 crore tests conducted.
