Covid19 Updates: India Reports 42,766 New Cases; Recovery Rate Increases to 97.20%
India reported 42,766 new cases in the last 24 hours. Its active caseload stood at 4,55,033, and active cases constituted 1.48% of total cases. The country registered 2,99,33,538 recoveries across the country until now as 45,254 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. The recovery rate increased to 97.20%.
The weekly positivity rate remained below 5% as it stood at 2.34%. The daily positivity rate is at 2.19%, less than 3% for 19 consecutive days.

The testing capacity ramped up as 42.90 crore tests conducted. Also, 37.21 crore vaccine doses administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
