Rajasthan to Create Three Primary Health Centres in Tribal Areas
In a bid to boost the healthcare facilities across the state, the Rajasthan government has taken a decision for upgrading three sub-health centres into primary health centres or PHCs in Udaipur district’s tribal-dominated areas. Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Chief Minister has reportedly given approval to the proposal moved by the state’s medical and health department.
The up-gradation of Sub Health Centres in Udaipur’s Panchayat Samiti Girwa, Balicha Panchayat Samiti Lasadia, Tekan and Budel, Jhalara in to PHCs will be initiated, as per the state government’s proposal. The government has also given its nod to create 27 new posts as well as obtain services of one person via a man with machine to ensure the effective operation of healthcare services in these centres.

Gehlot-led Rajasthan government hopes to enhance its healthcare facilities for the people residing in remote tribal regions of the state and increase employment opportunities in the health sector for the youth.
