Uttar Pradesh Govt Sets up Growth Monitoring Devices in Anganwadis for Checking Malnourished Kids
In a bid to boost facilities for enhancing the nutritional level in children, Uttar Pradesh government’s Department of Bal Vikas Seva evam Pushtahar or Child Development and Nutrition has set up baby weighing machines as well as stadiometer machines in the state’s Uttar Pradesh Govt Sets up Growth Monitoring Devices in Anganwadis for Check Malnourished Kids.
As per the ICT-RTM of the union government’s ‘Poshan Abhiyaan’ or the National Nutrition Mission, the growth monitoring devices are needed for monitoring the weight and height of malnourished kids, adolescent girls, lactating and pregnant women.

Anganwadis in UP’s 75 districts have received about 1,52,432 infant weighing machines and around 1,88,219 stadio meter machines. The government has trained the master trainer on the GMD devices. To ensure that no child in UP suffers from malnutrition, the UP government is working step by step.

Besides, the state government has come up with call centres for problem resolution and is organising profitable programmes such as the Weight Day and Poshan Vatika.
