Uttar Pradesh to Set up Medical Colleges in PPP Mode in Next Six Months
The Uttar Pradesh government will build medical colleges in its 16 districts that do not have such institutions. These medical colleges will be set up through PPP or Public-Private Partnership in the next six months, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth.
CM Adityanath said that medical colleges are crucial for ensuring enhanced healthcare services in the state. He observed that the state had 12 medical colleges after 70 years of Independence and added that around 32 medical colleges were created or approved with the cooperation of the union and the state government in 2020-21.
