Covid-19 Updates: India Reports 28,204 New Cases; Lowest in 147 Days
India reported 28,204 new cases in the last 24 hours; lowest in 147 days. Its active caseload currently is 3,88,508; lowest in 139 days, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
According to MoHFW, the country’s active cases constitute 1.21% of total cases; the lowest since March 2020, and the highest ever recovery rate achieved; currently at 97.45%. India witnessed the recovery of 41,511 patients during the last 24 hours. This has taken the recovery tally to 3,11,80,968 so far. Its weekly positivity rate remains below 5%, currently at 2.36%, and the daily positivity rate at 1.87%; less than 3% for the last 15 days.

Also, it said that 51.45 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive and 48.32 crore tests conducted.
