COVID-19 vaccine doses given in India surpass 95 crore mark

The total number of vaccine doses surpassed the 95 crore mark in India, according to the Union Health Ministry. The data from the Cowin portal suggests that more than 44 lakh vaccines have been administered.

The vaccination drive started on January 16 in phases, the first phase was with healthcare workers while the vaccination for frontline workers started from February 2. The country launched vaccination for all people aged more than 45 years from April 1 while everyone above 18 was allowed to be vaccinated from May 1.
