Prime Minister to hold review meeting with districts reporting low vaccination coverage
48 districts in the country have reported falling short of crossing the 50 per cent mark of administering the first dose of the covid vaccine in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a review meeting on Wednesday with districts reporting low vaccination coverage, including these 48 districts.
According to the Health Ministry data, twenty-seven of the 48 districts are in states of the Northeast, including eight districts each in Manipur and Nagaland. Jharkhand tops the list among all states having most districts — nine — with less-than-50 per cent first-dose vaccination coverage while Delhi has one district and Maharashtra has six.

The meeting will follow the launch of a ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ vaccination campaign by the states. The campaign, over the next one month, will have a door-to-door inoculation drive being carried out by states in these districts with the aim of achieving full coverage.
