Full compliance of Covid protocol should be ensured: UP CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that caution, vigilance and vaccination are the best ways for covid control. He has given instructions to continuously strengthen the arrangements for prevention and treatment of corona infection. He said that complete adherence to the Covid protocol should be ensured.
The Chief Minister was reviewing the situation of Covid-19 in the state in the virtual meeting of Team-9 today. He said that tracing plays an important role in controlling corona infection. In the previous wave of infection, door-to-door screening was done through surveillance committees, which helped in control of COVID.
Similar efforts are needed this time also. A state-wide surveillance program should be started. In this program, monitoring committees or health workers go door to door to identify symptomatic people and get tests done as per the need. Training should also be given to the personnel for this special operation.
The Chief Minister said that the vaccine is a protective shield against Covid. Keeping in view the usefulness of vaccination, all eligible people should be vaccinated at the earliest. Special camps should be organized for vaccination in schools and colleges. He said that regular vaccination of children has been affected due to corona. Marking such children, vaccination should be completed by running a special campaign in the coming February. These childhood vaccines are helpful in protecting against many diseases throughout life.
The Chief Minister said that Integrated Covid Command Centers (ICCCs) should be kept fully active in all the districts. Their functioning should be reviewed at the Chief Secretary level. Separate numbers should be issued for home isolation, communication with monitoring committees, need for ambulances and teleconsultation should be marked. Teleconsultation facilities should be made available to the people by deploying a panel of doctors in the district ICC. Adequate availability of life saving drugs useful in the treatment of Covid should be ensured.
