India showcases its prowess at World Summit
India showcased its technological prowess in the Information Technology and Communication (ICT) sector at the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) at Tunis with leaders like Infosys, TCS, HCL and NIIT displaying their wares in the country pavilion.
The pavilion displayed the efforts of the Indian companies such as C-DAC and TCIL from the Government sector and Infosys, TCS, HCL, Midas, Tejas, ITC and NIIT from the private sector. Some of these companies have shown their projects in real-time including tele-medicine, e-Governance applications, and fibre-to-home technology.
