Government hospital docs to be divested of admin duties

Now doctors working at government hospitals in the capital will soon be relieved from their administrative portfolios.

Satyendra Jain, State health minister has said that the additional responsibilities such as overseeing security arrangement or sanitation services affect the doctors clinical work and hence the government is planning to hire professionals for the job.

During a web chat with the doctors from Delhi Secretariat, he said that hiring professionals for administrative work are important not just to streamline services but also to utilise the manpower rationally.
