Manoj Kumar Meena appointed new commissioner of Karnataka Health Department
Manoj Kumar Meena has been appointed the new Commissioner of the Department of Health and Family Welfare and AYUSH Services, Government of Karnataka.
Meena succeeds Mr Subhodh Yadav, the outgoing officer. The post was vacant since Yadav applied for long leave for pursuing higher studies.
Prior to his new appointment, Meena was the Inspector General of Registrar and Commissioner of Stamps, according to a release.
Hailing from Rajasthan, Meena is a 2003 batch IAS officer and holds MA in philosophy. He has earlier served as the Assistant Commissioner at Yadagir, Zilla Panchayat Chief utive Officer in Tumkur, Deputy Commissioner of Chamarajnagar and Additional Commissioner for Commercial Tax Department.
