Rajasthan’s Barmer District Villages are Recording 70% of New Covid-19 Cases
Rajasthan’s Barmer district villages are recording as many as 70% of the new Covid-19 cases, an official said on Wednesday.
BL Vishnoi, Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) of Rajasthan’s Barmer district said that villages of the district are registering 70% of the Covid-19, adding that around 2,000 villagers have been tested positive for the Covid-19 in the district, according to news agency ANI.

BL Vishnoi has informed that the medical team has undertaken a survey in the villages, in a bid to identify the Covid-19 positive cases. Once identified as Covid-19 positive, people are being home isolated. He added that samples of the contacts of the Covid-19 positive patients are also being collected in the villages.

The CMHO also said that the administration has declared many villages as containment zones as well as micro-containment zones. He added that around 2,000 villagers have been tested positive in 27 Barmer villages.
