Covid-19 Updates: India Reports 45,892 New Cases; Recovery Rate Increases to 97.18%
India reported 45,892 new cases in the last 24 hours. Its active caseload currently is at 4,60,704 and active cases constituted 1.50% of the total cases. The country recorded 2,98,43,825 recoveries until now as 44,291 patients recovered during the last 24 hours, with the recovery rate increasing to 97.18%.
The weekly positivity rate remained below 5% as it currently is at 2.37%. The daily positivity rate is at 2.42%, less than 3% for 17 consecutive days. The testing capacity ramped up as 42.52 crore tests conducted. Also, 36.48 crore vaccine doses administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
