Covid-19 Updates: India Logs 37,154 New Cases: Union Home Ministry
India reported 37,154 new cases in the last 24 hours. Its active caseload currently is at 4,50,899, and active cases constitute 1.46% of total cases, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said.
According to MoHFW, India registered over 3 crore recoveries until now as 39,649 patients recovered during the last 24 hours; the recovery rate increases to 97.22%. The weekly positivity rate remains below 5% as it is currently at 2.32%, and the daily positivity rate is at 2.59%, less than 3% for 21 consecutive days.
The health ministry also informed that 37.73 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive, and the testing capacity “substantially” ramped up as 43.23 crore tests have been conducted.
