IIIT-Bhagalpur, AIIMS-Patna Ink MoU for Digital Innovation in Healthcare
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) – Bhagalpur has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) – Patna for digital innovation as well as cooperation in health education, research and training in the field of medical. AIIMS-Patna Director Dr Prabhat Kumar Singh and IIIT Director Arvind Choubey have inked the MoU for five years.
The MoU reportedly offers a joint platform for research and innovation in the healthcare facilities using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Data Science (DS) for predicting diseases with the help of images and CT scans.
According to Dr Singh, the IIIT’s technical support would help AIIMS – Patna adopting innovative methods to detect several diseases tapping into AI in addition to research in the medical field. Prof Arvind Choubey has said that IIIT – Bhagalpur’s AI innovation hub will carry out activities aligning with AIIMS-Patna for offering various AI-based healthcare inventions and courses.
