It is very encouraging to see the honourable Finance Minister starting the budget speech with a focus on strengthening the healthcare sector.
Over $ 8.5 billion will be invested in the next six years to transform healthcare services in India.
Open platform for National Digital Health Ecosystems- It will consist of digital registries of physicians, healthcare facilities, unique patient identifier, and universal access to healthcare facilities. This registry will also reduce a lot of manual processes for current technology vendors. A win-win for all!
Launch of Mental Health program- It is a welcome step as mental health is a key concern as we recover post pandemic. Use of telemedicine technology is a great initiative to overcome this taboo and help in faster recovery from covid-infected economy.
