Dr Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan, Member, Planning Commission, has steered the Indian Space programme for over nine years as Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Space Commission and as Secretary to the Government of India.
The proposal to form societies for each of the six AIIMS like institutions which are being set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) has been approved by the Union Cabinet. These societies will be functional till the AIIMS-like institutions are brought under an Act of Parliament.
The Department of Hospital Administration, AIIMS in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO), INCLEN Trust and supported by knowledge partner Becton Dickinson India Pvt. Ltd., has commenced a single platform with aims to bring on reputed clinicians, Nurses and Hospital administrators from 12 leading public and private hospitals and promote the culture of patient safety under the umbrella of NIPS.
